My new article "10 Scene Stealing Clara Moments" is now live on Doctor Who TV, it is now officially my 14th Article for the site as a Guest Contributer. Read a Extract below.
Clara Oswald has continued to capture the affection and attention of Whovian’s everywhere, as moment by shining moment she has secured a spot for herself in each of our hearts. Her courage, her attitude, her wit, her expression and in particularly the gravitas and investment Jenna puts into her portrayal of the role is what helps Clara manage to steal the show every time she walks on our screens. In honour of the beautiful Jenna Coleman’s birthday, I’ve decided to list my top 10 Jenna moments, in which she captures the essence of Clara and the attention of the audience with such class that never fails to impress! Let’s begin… Continue Reading on DWTV here My own "Doctor Who Shelf" Enjoy!! Complete with "The Figures Shelf" "The New Who Shelf" "The Classic Who Shelf" and "The Books Shelf" - as well as some poster, masks and my Doctor Who Bed Spread. My Doctor Who Clothing Collection may be up tomorrow. -- Sontaran17 So the Guardian have just released a Video on "Surrealism Art" hosted by Peter Capaldi... now its 5 minutes long, and even if you don't give 2 cahootees about art, these are the reasons you NEED to watch it -- Peter Capaldi is wearing something incredibly similar to his costume - almost exact -- Some Mannerisms and movements he makes just scream "DOCTOR" -- The way he uses his voice, the snickering comments, the sass, the intelligence THIS IS WHAT THE DOCTOR WILL SOUND LIKE! Watch this and what your mind explode and Fangasm into a million pieces of Who-y goodness!! And don't let the title scare you off, it is completely PG guys The family has just finished watching Torchwood Season 1, which makes the fourth watch for me - but the first for my Mum and Brother. It's always interesting seeing how people react to TV shows that you love so very much, and are so very familiar with for the first time. What have I gained through this rewatch? Well for one Eve Myles is sensationally underrated as an actress! The grief she showed with Rhys was murdered was so heartbreaking, so real, It really broke me- and she should be commended on it! As much as I enjoyed Season 1 a lot more on this rewatch, End of Days and Out of Time are possibly 2 of the best Torchwood episodes ever - Toshiko, Jack, Owen and Ianto are great, and its real fun to watch - this rewatch drove me to give one episode a rating, that it is now the lowest rating episode in the Whoniverse. This episode was Combat - an episode that I doubt I'll ever have the patience to watch through again. But hey! Everyone needs one episode they hate! Full ratings below.
So recently I went through a Massive New Who Marathon Re-rating all the Episodes from "Rose" to "The Time of The Doctor". If this marathon did just one thing- It was to remind me what a sensational show this is, and why I fell in love with it in the first place. At the top of the Ratings you will see the Season by Season Ranking Ladder, and at the Bottom following the "2013 Specials" is a complete listing of all the episodes from best to lowest ranking, and some graphs comparing my own results. Enjoy!
And the beginning of a new school term is finally here!!! And where am I? Stuck at home, sick as a Dog! Wrapped up in my Fourth Doctor scarf, feeling like one of Amy's poncho boys, drowning in VIX Vapor Rub, Guzzling down Hot Chicken Soup (Thanks Mum, Love Ya <3) and switching between creating a Blog/Website of my own and writing a brand new article to submit to DWTV --> All this to fill the void left as my friends from the Whoniverse all around the globe (Mainly Europe) sleep and dream pleasant dreams! Thinking of putting some Second Doctor on the telly, might cheer me up a bit! That or finish the DW Novel I'm currently reading: 'Shakedown' by Terrence Dicks -- A Classic Sontaran tale!
Welcome Everyone to Sontar! My brand new home - and hopefully the home of some great discussions over the next few months. Around the site there are contact forms, archives of my contributions to DWTV and also (most importantly) The "Sontfyre" tab, where the latest version of Livefyre is installed, and the potential for discussion is overflowing! I hope many of my friends can join me in this brand new adventure, and I invite you all to get involved as much as possible!
